Physics taught me to model systems. Now I build them as a backend engineer.

I design and build backend systems: APIs, event-driven pipelines and the infrastructure under them. I like problems where data arrives messy and fast and has to come out clean, correct and on time. In production, that has meant a multi-tenant platform taking in ~1,000 requests per second for 100+ clients with millisecond latency.

Before software, I spent three years studying physics.1

APIs and data models

REST APIs that stay fast and predictable as they grow: careful PostgreSQL schemas, partitioning when the data demands it, versioned migrations, authentication done properly, and tests that make changes safe.

A core API on per-tenant partitioned PostgreSQL, tested across every domain, serving 100+ clients.

Event-driven systems

Pipelines that take in bursts of events without losing or reordering them: webhook ingestion, per-tenant queues, stream processing, idempotent consumers, and one clean model on the other side.

~1,000 req/s across 100+ clients, milliseconds from source to database.

Kafka · Redpanda · Faust · Redis

Infrastructure and operations

Taking a service all the way to production and keeping it healthy: containers, Kubernetes provisioned as code, GitOps deploys, CI/CD, and dashboards and logs that show problems early.

A highly available k3s cluster (3 control planes + etcd) that I provisioned and operate.

Whole products, when needed

Backend is home, but I ship complete products when the job calls for it: React and Next.js frontends, real-time features, and integrations with AI APIs.

Software Developer, Pixel Breeders

Backend engineer on a multi-tenant data platform for short-term rental operations, from ingestion to infrastructure.

  • Designed the webhook ingestion layer: validation and routing into per-tenant Redpanda queues, with tenant isolation and event ordering guaranteed from the first hop.
  • Built stream processors that normalize 30+ event types from different vendors into one canonical model, using an adapter pattern with mapper and enricher layers.
  • Built the core API on PostgreSQL partitioned per tenant, with JWT auth, versioned migrations and pytest coverage across every domain.
  • Provisioned and operate the production platform: an HA k3s cluster set up with Terraform, GitOps with ArgoCD, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, and observability with Grafana, Prometheus and Loki.

Software Development Intern, UFSC

  • Built a quantum computing simulator for the web (Node.js, React, Python), used by 30+ students at the same time in Quantum Computing I.
  • Shipped static science-communication sites with a team, working through branches, code review and pull requests.

Java · Spring Boot · WebRTC · Docker

GreatCall

A video conferencing platform with rooms of up to 50 people, screen sharing and chat. Spring Security handles sign-in (BCrypt + sessions); ZegoCloud handles the media.

Upload an email as text or PDF and get a category and a suggested reply. Flask parses the file and asks Gemini for structured JSON, and the page renders the result.
